The Facts with the Skiing

With 425km of slopes, that is 34,000 acres versus 29,000 acres within Trois Valleys! Including three glaciers, Paradiski has something for every skier from gentle groomed runs to off piste of the North Face.

The local slopes have pretty, sheltered tree-lined runs, with excellent snow making facilities and some superb mountain restaurants, accessible to non-skiers too.

The two ski schools based in Montchavin, ESF and Evolution 2, are good for both adults and children alike, as are the facilities for children of all ages with free lift passes up to 6 years old and reduced rates for 7 to 13 year olds and 60 plus years.

Our preference is Evolution 2 as they are helpful and have english speaking staff with friendly ski instructors who are great with both children and adults, the classes start at 4 years of age.

There is a nursery/creche organised and run by ESF for children from 3 to 6 years old. There are baby minding services for younger children upon request.

For non-skiers and skiers alike there are plenty of additional activities on offer including winter walks, dog sledding, ice skating, snow shoeing, paragliding, sightseeing excursions, new swimming pool complex.

With 225km of slopes in La Plagne ski area and 86% of these being blue or red, the area is an intermediate paradise.

Advanced skiers are well catered for with black runs on the glaciers, or the long tree-lined runs from Aime la Plagne past La Plagne 1800.

Excellent off-piste in both La Plagne and Les Arcs areas make for further skiing.

In addition the Paradiski lift pass covers, among others, the nearby resorts of val D'Isere, Tignes and the Three Valleys, a 45 minute drive.
